SURF/SLICKS/SLIDERS: NAISH TEAM RIFFS ON THE TRIPLE-S

Rick Jensen

Sam Light: "The Triple S is the one event of the year that you make sure you don't miss, this year was my 2nd one i've attended after winning a wild card last year. The first few days of the event didnt have wind, but personally i think that was a good thing so we could settle in, move into our pimp rider houses, warm up with a few jet ski hits and spend a few days winching the boat basin with different obstacles, the standard has gone through the roof this year but for the first few hours and days people are still finding there feet and warming up. I was stoked this year on the amount of Naish riders, theres loads of us and its cool that were representing well! When the wind did come it was perfect, we had the last three days, with all the obstacles set up in the slick. I rode my 11m Park for almost all of the event. I really noticed this year how hungry everyone was, instead of a few stand out riders like normal everyone was throwing down left right and center, and we were just feeding off each other bustin out our biggest tricks. Because everyone was trying there very best the wipeouts were insane! I had a few heaaavvy hits of my own that i can still feel. I managed to get a 3rd in the Slicks and a 4th in the Sliders so Im pretty chuft."

Rick Jensen: "The Triple-S was definitely one of the best events I've ever done. The spot is stunning, perfect flatwater, obstacles, what else could you ask for... All competitors share the same vibe and have the same goal, to push the sport while having heaps of fun at the same time. It was an honor for me, that I got the opportunity to take part in the event after submitting my wild card video. I am super stoked and happy to be voted "rookie of the year" and can't wait to be back at Cape Hatteras!"

Davey Blair: "SSS was on fire this year. I took 5th over all and 5th in the waves. My 12m Park was the tool I needed to get such results. I had a great time riding with all my piers. Everyone was taking the sport to the next level and it was great to be part of it. The week came and went super fast. Sam light stop thru chucktown on the way to sss. It was fun showing him around town and giving him some southern hospitality."

FEATURING: THE TORCH
The world views the Torch as the benchmark in C-kites. Its proven legacy of performance makes it the perfect choice for riders looking for a kite that is equally at home on the competition circuit, or when riding unhooked in the waves.

The Torch has depower similar to a bridled kite by virtue of its ability to fly quickly to the edge of the window. The smooth power delivery and easy handling make hooked or unhooked riding effortless. The Shift Control System allows easy water relaunch and arc support.
