FEATURED PRODUCT: THE 2012 TORCH

The Torch flies quickly through the air and will depower easily with a quick check of the board edge. The power is delivered smoothly, with depower similar to a bridled kite by virtue of the kite's ability to fly fast. Hooked in or unhooked, the riding is effortless and precise. Tony "Caveman" Groman has been a fixture in the Kailua kiteboarding scene since the beginning. He doesn't spend his time chasing or waiting for wind, he simply goes around the corner to the beach and kites every single day. He has adapted his equipment, style and attitude to just have fun no matter what the wind or the rest of the world is doing. KAILUA : NAISH SUMMER KITE RACE SERIES

The second event of the Naish Summer Kite Race Series was held in beautiful Kailua Bay on Oahu. Forty kiters signed up for the Raceboard, Surfboard, and Twin tip divisions. The wind-gods were kind and gave good conditions from the early morning through the afternoon. Red Bull showed up with a huge tent that made shelter from the hot sun and afternoon showers, while riders could fuel up on the liquid energy. Riders showed up from both Maui and Oahu. Robby Naish came out to show his support for the racers and ended up jumping into the race division. The Oahu racers were in for some steep competition from the Maui competitors in the course board class. The Aguera family shone again and ended on the podium in both men's and women's divisions. THE RO-SHAM-THROWDOWN THREW DOWN

The Ro-Sham-Throwdown was held at the Marina in Hood River, Oregon from July 14-17, 2011. The event is put together by The Slider Project which is dedicated to pushing the wakestyle side of the sport, with an emphasis on features. This was the 4th running of the Throwdown and it showed. The features were larger, there were more riders and took over the town of Hood River. Naish was well represented with Sam Light, Jesse Richman, Sam Bell, Eric Merill, Mattias Ricci, Brittany Todd, Dominique Granger, Colin Schweigert and Peter Knof. The competition was fierce, but both Sam Light and Jesse Richman made it through to the Finals. Read more...
