BBL and our AGM Dear kite surfers, As I'm sure you've heard, Beach Break Live is in two short weeks. If you haven't bought a ticket already, you know the deal - it's a sweet festival made even sweeter by the presence of a full on SKA competition at Watergate Bay (in which some of the best riders in the UK will be competing, and which Josh Coombes, Sukie Robertson, and a lucky third will be judging) and the chance to win a bunch of longboards which you can then maim yourself with on the half pipe which will be in the campsite. If you're not convinced after that, I give up! We're looking forward to seeing those of you with common sense there. Secondly, but no less importantly, we're holding an AGM juuuust before Beach Break. Its on the morning of the 19th, starting at 10am, at WMSki. So we'll talk politics, hand over to the new committee, and then beat ourselves senseless trying tricks that we were nailing before exams but which we probably can't do anymore. If you want to come along, it's open to all and it's your chance to influence the way the SKA will be run next year. Sweet, that's it from me for now (and probably for ever - the next time you get an email from the SKA it'll probably be a much less attractive man at the keyboard) SKA love, Ben. |
